International Accounting Day- A day to address what it means to be an accountant!
Like
any special day for any other profession, there's one day for accountants as
well – the International Accountants Day, celebrated on November 10
every year. International Accountant Day is commended all around the globe
every year to give acknowledgment to accountants who do highly challenging and
stressful jobs that not many individuals want to do. International Accounting
Day is a good reminder to praise a centuries-old profession that is essential
to business success.
History
of International Accounting Day
10 November 1494 is
the day when the "Summa de Arithmetica, Geometria, Proportioni et
Proportionalita", which means "Everything about Arithmetic, Geometry,
and Proportion", was published in Venice, that is why the day was chosen
as the International Accounting Day. This is the first record on twofold entry
book-keeping that paved the way for future works on business accounting.
The
first authority commemoration of Accounting Day was held as an event in the
year 1972 in the USA. In 1976, increasingly professional organizations were
welcome to take part in this commemoration. Various communities, foundations,
and nations commend this day on various dates, however, in many parts of the
world, November 10 is considered as an official International
Accounting Day.

accessible.

The oldest surviving example of written language anywhere dates from around
5,000 years prior. It is written in Sumerian cuneiform and reads: "A total
of 29,086 measures of grain were received through the span of 37 months.
Signed, Kushim."
Today, the intricate business structures call for top-notch
work from accountants, to cater these business prerequisites, they have to
confront great difficulties and pressure, and create a well-reputed,
exceptionally competitive and believable capital market for organizations.
Since the majority of the organizations are going worldwide; the accountants
need to manage everyday difficulties like, improving transparency,
accountability, harmonization, governance and increasing the value to
facilitate the smooth running of business tasks. So, for all the accountants
who have to work late at night or 3 am by the end of the month for monthly or
quarterly closing, this day is praised to salute them for their diligent work
